In a time when new muisc is not up to par with the old, I am finding myself cathing up on old music rather than buying whats new and repetitive. Check out the X-MAS song TIENES QUE CANTAR on the DE FIESTA Con COMBO CD!!!!! The new stuff today has no soul to it. It has already been done guys! All of these singers are using the same musicians, studios, arrangers, they play with pickup bands when they tour. Nothing is sacred anymore!!!! What happened to the time when you went to see a band for the singer and as importantly the group. I used to go to clubs to see a horn section or to see a particular bass player. That time is LONG GONE, unfortunately. It is a pleasure rediscovering music today. I can't believe I missed so much back then. I could have been enjoying a lot of great stuff over the years. Musical taste gets better with age for sure, too bad the music can't keep pace!!!!!!!!

Gilberto ha creado otro clasico de navidad en la misma liga de Willie Colon/Hector Lavoe "Asalto Navideño, Cheo Feliciano "Felicidades" y El Gran Combo "Nuestra Musica". Aunque esta no es la primera grabacion de Gilberto en Navidades (Porque mira que a este muchacho le encanta la Parranda) Es su primera el solito y muy bien que le quedo. En la fiesta no es para feos se te olvido incluir a Victor Santos. Te Felicito y no te olvides que Mami esta escuchando desde el cielo.
