"Promised Land" was a rip-rocker written by Chuck Berry. It went to #14 on Billboard's Hot100. The double-A sided 45rpm also included "It's Midnight" that was more popular on Country stations (#9) and Adult Contemporary (#8). "It's Midnight" is probably his best power ballad and was written by Jerry Chestnut who also wrote "T-R-O-U-B-L-E". I would look for remastered version of this album, its worth it!
