"Unto Us" is a wonder and a delight, and will be a much loved tradition in my Christmases to come. JJ's sound is nostalgic but at the same time fresh, which is perfect for the message of Christmas in its tradition from year to year but also the renewed life and spirit we receive in celebrating the birth of Jesus.
Here you'll find simply perfect renditions of old favorites (in particular a version of "Blessings" from White Christmas that I can't listen to with dry eyes) as well as originals that truly shine with the spirit of Christmas. The album is a joy to listen to in its entirety, as well, because its composition as a whole is so complete. I know you'll fall in love with it as much as I have!

JJ's album is plays in the background giving me peace, joy and centering my eyes on Jesus while my three little kiddos flutter about in this can be hectic Christmas season. Her voice is just the balm this mamma needs. Also...the remake of Count Your Blessings is just amazing...I can't even... and I would buy the whole album if it just had this one song on it.

One of my favorite Christmas albums ever is Amy Grants " Home for the Holidays". When JJ Heller said the same thing and had the same producer for her album I knew I would love it, and I do. "Unto Us" has helped make me smile and remind me of the true meaning of Christmas during a busy and sometimes sad holiday season.

My whole family loves JJ Heller. There isn't a JJ Heller song I have found that I don't like. I appreciate that she has put her own twist on some of these older Christmas songs ("count your blessings instead of sheep" was a welcome addition to the more traditional songs) and I love hearing my children sing songs that bring hope and joy. This is quickly becoming one of my all time favorite Christmas albums!
