Sometimes an artist puts out an album worth your time, "Fear & Love" is just that. Jake Clemons may be more well known as Springsteen's Sax player, but he's more than that. Much more. Jake's latest release floods your senses from the opening salvo of "Hold Tight" to the end track "Move On". Clemon's vocal ability has come a long way from the "It's On" EP thru his second album "Embracing Light". Jake's singing not only soars higher on "Fear & Love" but the lyrical content of the entire album escalates to new heights. "Janine" and the line "get out while you can this isn't love" shouts at the senses. "Shadow" and it's haunting story of being "in love with a shadow." "Sick, Broke, and Broken" and it's wonderful slide gutar boogie makes you want to clap your hands and dance. The opus "Burning" takes the listener on a trip deep into a relationship on the edge. The title tracks opening lines paint a paradoxical picture of interconnection of the sexes. 11 songs together as one wonderful album.
