I had not heard any of this album until I saw him a year ago. I received a copy of the CD at the concert and listened to it on the three hour drive. I really enjoyed the duets with John Fogarty and Mick Jager. “Today” and “Last Time for Everything” are becoming favorite songs.

So I’ve been trying to pinpoint what it is exactly that makes me change the station every time I hear a Brad Paisley song. And I think that I finally discovered my irritants with every song he sings... GUITAR SOLO!! At this point in your career Brad we know that you can play the guitar!!! every single song has to have a guitar solo it is so freaking irritating!! Not to mention every song you sing sounds like a parody!!!

One of the few albums on the charts today that is even close to real country music. Brad's got an infusion of Country, Blues, and a bit of Rock and Roll that isn't too overdone. I'd say kind of a twang with a kick. Similar to Lynyrd Skynyrd, or CCR. Great stuff, looking forward to even more traditional and throwback sounds from him in the future.
