It’s not everyday you hear emcees, especially female emcees, talk about what’s happening in our world and using their talents to speak on how to change our perceptions. It’s very rare and uncommon in Hip-Hop now that consciousness still exists. With emcees like AdELA and Rapsody to name a few, lyricism, understanding and appreciation for Hip-Hop has definitely survived. This EP demonstrates all the core values for which Hip-Hop is supposed to embody and for that I am grateful to be able to listen.
