Reviews

  • Futuristic Masterpiece

An album way ahead of it’s time, both musically and conceptually, Cyber Punk was unfairly derided and flopped commercially upon its release in the summer of 1993. Inside tho lay Billy Idol’s magnum opus. Cyber Punk is album to listen to from start to finish to fully feel it’s awesome power tho ‘Adam In Chains’, ‘Tomorrow People’ and ‘Shock To The System’ will have you hitting the repeat button again and again.

Him & Prince kept me busy.
  • I love pretty much every song. Ridiculously underrated.

I couldn’t play this enough in my car when it came out, my fav Billy Idol album, just mesmerized. Never understood why such negative critiques & Cyberpunk didn’t deserve that.
  • Unfairly criticized masterpiece

An interesting love letter to cyberpunk that pioneered at home computer recording.
  • Way way ahead of his time

He was “making this on his bedroom” using a four track! Distributed it ONLINE! He was way ahead of his time. The “fans” and “critics” couldn’t wrap their minds around his progression. I like King & Queens of the Underground better, as an indication of artistic experimentation and growth but this album is very very cool, especially for 1993!
