  • This is the best album I've ever heard...

I am convinced with all my heart that the Holy Spirit was in the writing and recording of this album. All of these songs have touched my heart and spirit deeply. As a 34 year old man who is married with kids, life's pressures have been heavy lately. My relationship with God has been changing and progressing...and growing. I have more life experience. I have deeper wounds. I have more questions. I have more doubts. I also believe in more truth and beauty. God isn't a distant God - this album shows that over and over, again and again. Thanks David.

I have saved the entire video to watch and listen to, again and again ... the lyrics draw me in and stir me. This is the only album where I've loved ... all the songs equally. Impact! God glorified! It speaks to the Wanderer!

I kinda knew of his previous work but never close to how this impacted me. Real, honest great writing with excellent music. Songs that let you know we can (and will) have struggle but Jesus is always there and drawig us even if we might pull away at times. The videos (making a movie) are very creative as well. Can't say enough good things.

I listened to the album all the way through as I drove today (the ideal way to listen to it, btw). I let each song soak in. I've listened to enough "Christian music" to develop some fairly good instincts on what chord, phrase or sound is coming next. So much sameness in most church music these days. I found "The Wait" to be a refreshing, gritty, heartfelt experience. I was sonically surprised and delighted. David's voice is raw and emotive. So many great tracks. Worth the investment of 11 bucks!

I never write reviews. But this album is phenomenal! By far the best album of 2019. And we are only in March. His voice is amazing, and the message of this entire album is amazing. Do yourself a favor and buy this album!

  • The Best of Villains

Honest. Creative. Vulnerable. David courageously exposes the truth of the inner man over a detailed musical background composed of both modern and classic production techniques--the true craftsmanship of The Creak Music (a production house in Franklin, TN). Knowing that this modern worship leader and artist reveals internal struggle while continuing to lean on Christ far after a season spent declaring "Great Are You Lord" in front of the global church is sobering. This creation helps to equal the playing field in the body of Christ. Whether you're blessed with talent holding the microphone in front of large crowds or you're the man or woman falling apart in the back--we all experience the same struggles. David gives us an invitation to bring up the not-so-talked-about prayers with God by sharing glimpses of his own battles. In different ways we all become prodigals, runaways, criminals, hypocrites--villains--throughout our walks of life. This album seemingly captures the heart of the best of villains. As if the good thief hanging next to Jesus had songs to sing in a collection called "The Wait".
