I definitely think that if you like the album OCMS and want to check out some of the new stuff from them, then buy this whole EP. Down Home Girl and James River Blues are two of the best songs of Big Iron World. Though if you already have Big Iron World, don't just pass the EP by. I would definitely download the track Fall On My Knees. It is a studio release of one of their older tracks they recorded on their 2nd cd (Live from before OCMS). It is a great traditional tune done by an amazing band. Check it out.

These guys have an energy and magnetism that is absolutely amazing. But they lack the technical ability of even a second year bluegrass musician. I'm not saying they're bad at what they do, but what they do is not bluegrass. If you want to hear modern bluegrass, listen to some Blue Highway or Cherryholmes. Don't get me wrong, I love Old Crow, but they are an "Old Time String Band" just like the song says.

Old Crow Medicine Show is one of my favorite bands of all time, they are so talented and the things they sing about are awesome, they make me proud to be from virginia and proud to be a country boy, but everytime i go to see them live, there are drug fueled hippies everywhere and they are annoying, nah, i dont relaly care, but i just think the music is the best drug there is, that banjo can make me high as a kite

I am not a huge fan of all the folksy music stuff, but these guys are incredible. They are putting bluegrass on the map for the younger generation. The way they step away from typical folk music and branch off into a new raw sound is genius. These guys are kings in my book!

In this day and age full of crappy pop music, it is so refreshing to find a band that stays true to it's roots and to the music. OCMS is that kind of band. If you haven't seen them live, do so, they rock the house down! Love these guys!

My Down Home Girl has Fallen On her Knees with the James River Blues. This EP is so good that my head may either explode or implode, I'm not sure yet. It makes me really miss my 19y.o. cousin Fran, who is an exchange student in Ecuador. I hope she still has my asthma meds 'cause I'm sleepy.
I really like doing the Chicken Dance at weddings, but these guys are MUCH better than that.
