Great album, continual reinvention. Grateful for the bonus material and several b-sides or sawdust I was unaware of. Especially stoked to have a copy of Stateless on Apple Music.
This Album Saved Me

In 2001 my Mom was terminally ill with cancer. I lived in the hospital for 6 months and was holding her when she died. The hospital had placed a cot in her room for me to be able to stay overnight and care for her.
We were up most nights and when she would finally fall asleep, I would put on my headphones and fall asleep listening to the entire album. The song Walk On was especially meaningful and poignant for me. " Packing a suitcase for a place no one has been, a place that has to be believed to be seen."
It was the most heartbreaking time in my life.
Your music saved me from shattering into 1 million pieces.
A simple thank you just isn't enough.
From my heart - bless you for your poetry set to music and your beautiful voice - that healed a deeply hurting soul.

I know the live concert was already released on dvd 19 years ago, but I am looking forward to this release! They dont normally release live concerts commercially. Other than what they’ve released on their website. The only “full” concerts we have available in audio format are two Joshua tree concerts.
Boring album

Where U2 stopped experimenting and created dull records
A solid return to form, but ...

The 90s were an amazing time for U2. In spite of critics basically saying that ZOOROPA and POP couldn't compare to ACHTUNG BABY, I still enjoyed those two records. With ALL THAT YOU CAN'T LEAVE BEHIND, they cut back on all that studio trickery. For the most part, this works. This review is about this particular special edition: it has nothing truly new to offer (aside from the remastering, which I doubt will offer much more nuance) to the die-hard fan. In November 2004, iTunes offered an amazing digital 446-song box set called THE COMPLETE U2 (which is unfortunately no longer available for sale), and in that set, they included the same "rare" cuts that are included in this set. The only thing different here is the inclusion of a new 2001 concert from Boston and a few new remixes. I'm flabbergasted that this set didn't include "New York (Nasty Mix)," which worked very well when it shouldn't have (it had been made available as part of THE COMPLETE U2). It makes me wonder if they've included ALL the remixes here ...
Nothing new here for diehard fans
