The album is a 10/10. There is no doubt about that. But there are so many things this album means for Ghetts and for Grime music altogether. The evolution of Ghetts is clear and at its very best on the album. From transitions, to the balance between Ghetto and J Clarke, the humble blend, and everything in between. Yes, mainstream success is a tough crack for all UK artists, especially because of of its stories and emotions based in home. Obviously, this happens in the US too, but in the UK it is much more exclusive. Mainstream crowds are partially brainwashed in a way that the music that they will push up the charts is predictable. However, even with all this, Conflict of Interest is a body of Art. All aspects of a classic album are satisfied. I’ll be honest, I had some tears in my listening experience. There’s no introduction needed, I’m a genius, and I’m even schooling seniors.
