Absolutely stunning record. Every bit the soul needs for a good drive and a good dive back into the easy way of life. This album takes you on a ride to the good Ole days, where life is on a roll and where feeling free is celebrated. Lyrically one of the freshest albums I’ve heard from this genre in years. Lyrically this record is solid thru and thru, with a feel good honky tonk vibe we’ve been missing! Some tracks make me want to get up and dance all night, some will get stuck in your head for days, some made me CRY (in a good way, go listen to Highway Like Me featuring Marcus King WOW)! On this album Ashland has that golden rasp southern vocal, there are harmonies that swim, chunky slide guitars, harmonica, with keys and even fiddle. This album has a little bit of everything for everyone. For a debut record, she’s knocked it out of the park. There is no doubt Ashland is here to stick around for many years to come, a girl with a golden voice that is nothing short than iconic. Grab your pup, the car keys and turn this one UP 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
