Mellencamp never disappoints live and this album documents another example of just that, real music, real instruments, stripped back and offered free to the masses on the Good Samaritan tour. The recording quality is excellent given the environment most of these tracks were taken from and instead of another live rehashed greatest hits, the songs here cover a wide swath of his high points as well as several favorite covers. If you like Mellencamp you will love this. If you like real, live music, you will love this. Just buy it, turn it up and enjoy every moment of magic as it was captured.
