  • Unbelievable!!

Maxwell is an unbelievably talented performer; and to see & hear him perform this song is truly a privilege. He does it so effortlessly - making it seem as easy as if he's 'speaking' the words instead of singing them.

I've had the pleasure of seeing Maxwell perform live and he was outstanding! This album is as if I'm there all over again. He is a true artist.

...and this live set proves it. All AutoTune-dependant "pop-stars", "singers" and "vocalists" (as well as anyone fooloish enuf to buy that crap) would be highly advised to take note.
  • Maybe the best he's done

I have everything Maxwell has made and while I am a big fan of his first three studio albums, I come back to this album with regularity. The smoothness of his voice balanced with his ability to enthrall the crowd and keep pace with a live band is just awesome. If you're a fan of Maxwell or just a fan of music, you'll enjoy this purchase. My favorite is Ascension!

Maxwell is so gifted as a singer, musician, and most notably, an artist. This live recording shows off just what a rare coming-together his music represents. In that sense, it's tough to find a R&B/Soul parallel. His art is focused not on politics, but good old, pure love. Looking forward to his coming triology of albums! Rock on, brother.

Maxwell's voice is quite amazing but I never connected with much of his music...until I heard his live rendition of Kate Bush's "This Woman's Work." The way that he moves his voice through the aching twists and turns of that song is unbelievable. Truly one of the most stunning performances I have ever heard. I thought Kate's version was great and now it can't even be compared to Maxwell's! Definitely worth a listen; you'll be hooked.

Wow. That is all I have to say. Maxwell's voice is like silk. He can hit the high notes and then drop it to a mellow hum. His band makes you want to get out of your seat and dance or just crawl into a sofa somewhere with that special someone! (^_^). This album is ESSENTIAL for relaxation and romantic interludes. You will not regret buying it!
