    It's about time iTunes finally released one of this amazing mezzos recent albums. Where is 'Deepest Desire'?? This album is fantastic, capturing the American mezzo at her best - and it's LIVE!! One can view her stage savy persona in her 'Barbiere' and 'Hercules' DVDs. However, this recital disc lets us bask in her warm sunny mezzo as it shines down on Venice. This cleaverly programmed recital captures the essence of Venice and the wide range of composers shows DiDonato's breadth and depth of vocal ability and artistry. The two encores highlight two of her operatic specialities: Handel and Rossini. Bar none DiDonato possesses one of the finest trills in opera and the 'Non piu mesta' encore from Cenerentola is the bench mark to which all other Rossini mezzos must aspire today. Brava!
