All these last 10 years after I fell in love with Alex Isley, I was always hoping , as a long time Isley Brothers fan, that Alex and her legendary father Ernie Isley would join her on a song one day. And it’s so understandable that Alex obviously wanted to blaze a trail all her own first and not ride on her famous family’s name, and she has done that and then some, she is one of the most prolific and dope artists on the R&B scene, so it’s so appropriate and timely that her and Ernie Isley would finally collaborate, and they couldn’t have picked a better time and a better song! Brown Eyed Girl is one of the Isley Brothers greatest songs and is just as much a testament and tribute to The Isley Brothers as it is a crossroad for Alex herself!
