The marketing, the Easter eggs, version after version of albums released, the re-records, the current Eras tour, the Eras tour movie, the over exposure of her personal life… it’s TOO much. The second she announced her new album at the Grammys, I was thinking “enough already”. 2023 was the year of Taylor, so in 2024 can we just get a break? I like a lot of Taylor’s music, I respect her as a musician, songwriter and businesswoman, but her last several albums all sound the same, and her new work (31 songs… too many) are just really wordy and uninspired. And furthermore… can we let the Kim K thing die already? Not a fan of Kim at all, and team Taylor, but it’s time to let it rest. Why isn’t she going after Kanye(YE)? He’s the true villain in this narrative in which she wanted to be “excluded” from.
