I can remember buying this "album" when it came out on vinyl in 1985, I had just moved to Spain with the USAF. I have all of Russ freemans works, collaborations and pretty much anything he is featured on. This recording set the stage for what is, in my opinion, some of the best smooth jazz I have ever heard. It is vacuum sealed without a single scratch or blemish, I will cherrish this music until my days on this earth end. Looking forward to more great music.

Like all the other reviewers, I was desperately trying to find this album for so many years! I saw it in a store when it was still in print in the late 80's. I regret not buying it. Almost all of the songs on this album was played on the Smooth Jazz station in Chicago back then. When I found this CD, I was more than happy. This is one of my all-time favorite CDs. This one is considered like a "Pre-Rippingtons" album. Anyone who is a diehard fan of the Rippingtons and Russ Freeman, I strongly recommend this CD! This is where the Rippingtons sound all started.

I have been looking for this CD for years as all I had was the cassette tape that gave way several years ago. All the songs are fantastic but Easter Island was my favorite song for years and listening to it on CD quality sound makes it my favorite again.

I have been trying to find this cd for a few years now and just took a chance on iTunes. I have always loved this entire cd and I am sooo glad I found it. This is one of Russ' finest works I beleive. I am listening to Ester Island and I have always remembered the chords of this song. It takes me back to a familiar time and place I am sitting here absolutely loving it!

First, the album is great, but one song in particular is spectacular. When "Amelia" cues up listen closely. If you can, close your eyes and listen deeply to the song. There are so mny nuances to the song. There are songs that you have to work at to listen to. Not this one. This one gives relaxing energy to you. It is at once peaceful and energizing. It may be the most perfect song I have ever heard. I am not trying to get weird about this, but this song is so correct I have nicknamed it "God's song." If he were to ever write one, I imagine it would sound like this. Check it out for yourself. It alone is worth the price of the album.

This album is wonderful... until now, it was incredibly hard to find on CD. Beautiful... especially Polo In The Palisades. If you appreciate the Rippingtons, this album is a must have. Thanks Russ!
