This man should get more than he is. Help poor is an awsome song as are the others. It means slot to me and also has a great tune. Go Buddy!

Ever since Nashville Star I've been listening to this talented musician. I understand that he has been singing vocals for big names in Nashville for a long, long time....when he won Nashville Star a few years ago and got signed to do an album, I thought he'd shoot right to the top...he's actually got a real voice, range, styling, talent as a songwriter, good looks.....I don't get it....Melissa Lambert, who came in second on the show, is now a huge star, and Buddy got left in the dust. Rarely hear him on country radio, no tour, no publicity....nothing. This is a great country album in every sense, and he should be making lots more, but he's nowhere to be found. I have to wonder who he pissed off!!
  • Surprised this hasn't received more attention

This is an excellent CD! I watched the show, thought he was good, and was excited that Clint Black was producing. Even the few not-so-great tracks are 3 or 4 star worthy. I Wanna Thank Everyone is a perfect ode to the companies that passed him over for so many years. Help Pour is a great tune (theology not withstanding). The first 6 songs are just fantastic. I would recommend this highly.
  • Great album!

I didn't watch Nashville Star, I actually found out about him through the song "Today I Started Loving You Again" a reworking that he did with Miranda Lambert (also from Nashville Star). The cd is worth buying for that song alone. I am guessing that Lacey is his daughter, that song is amazing to me too! So mellow...what a great voice he has!
