In Your Face

This often-dismissed album ranks right alongside other Fishbone classics (Fishbone EP, In Your Face, etc.) Upbeat, well-written and masterly-performed tunes, make this one a must have. How could you not love the fun Cholly? If you're feeling down, listen to A Movement In The Light for constant reassurance! You cannot go wrong with this gem!

I used to listen to this in high school. Still a favorite with me!!

Of course, Fishbone went on to some stronger CDs, but their debut was an interesting introduction of what was to come. Mixing genres and creating a sound unlike anything else at the time, this debut had some punk energy, but nothing like their live show. "When Problems Arise" is, in my opinion, the strongest song on this CD showing the sound that would lead into their strongest era. Too bad Fishbone never got the recognition they deserved.

I'll keep it brief plain and simple their previous debut EP was rough yet promising, but this said debut album is all filler no killer. I once owned this cd and quickly sold it cuz it simply is horrible. The only stand out is "A Selection". Thank God you can buy one song if you choose now and spend the rest on worthy albums. Fishbone rocks - this one is truly a dead fish!
