This is a great supplement to Jet's retooled sophomore album. 'Jane Jones' ties some honky tonk with some of the less threatning rock from 'Shine On'. The result is a nice change of pace. Its unfortunate that I came to expect an underwhelming second album from these guys, as 'Get Born' was too catchy for its own good, having many of its songs played to death in commercials, parties, bars etc. 'Shine On' (the album) utilizes the truly great voices these guys have with familiar harmonies while still carrying their rock card. Check it out if you don't have it. It will not disappoint!

It's great to hear Jet expand their sound. Reminds me of an Oasis tune; Stop Crying Your Heart Out ... also worth a listen.

Shine On is a GREAT song, its much more epic than the GET BORN songs. People have to realize that a band has to change SOME to make it. If you just want them to keep producing Get Born albums over and over again it would become tire some. Shine On is refreshingly different and is much more emotional and well put together than some previous stuff. Get Born was a OUTSTANDING album, and Shine On is just as outstanding if not more so. Just take the song for what it is, dont compare it to whatever you liked before. Definatly a Must Buy!

Jet is from Australia. AC/DC is from Australia. Jet's first album blew the shoes off my feet, and I felt like Bonn Scott had been re-incarnated. Jet can rule all. They have the power within them. But not with songs like these.
