Death cab roots. From my musical view this album is like if The Shins had a music baby with Jack's Mannequin. Two great bands, one awesome EP.

I adore the postal service and just about everything they realese. I bought the entire album because i knew i wanted "district" and wanted to get them covering "the lips". Out of the two remixes though only the "district" one stands out. I was hoping to have a killer house remix of "such great hights" but this remix just doesn't do it for me. The only good part of the track is what you hear in the sample. When the lyrics come in not much grabs you and it all seems to fall flat on its face. I say save the 99 cents and use it on the original by phill collins.

After Give Up, I have come to expect amazing things from this duo. This EP does not live up to what I expect from the Postal Service. My two star rating comes from an average of songs 2-4. I did not rate the original District song b/c I feel that anyone who wants this song should go ahead and buy Give Up. "District (remix)" - ** it's an okay remix, but it just doesn't add anything new to the original. When I get a remix of a song, it should offer something appealing... such as the "Nothing Better" remix. This one doesn't do it for me. "Suddenly..." - *** It's an interesting song. What I like about the Postal Service is that they aren't afraid to experiment or try new sounds. This song is worth buying for its ingenuity. But don't spend the extra $3 for the other remixes and a song from a previous CD. "Such Great (remix)" - * To me, this is just awful. The original of this song is absolutely incredible. It maintains such drive and energy while keeping a pretty minimalist background. And the lyrics are some of the best in post-2000 music. This remix, again, adds nothing to the original. And some of the chords don't even work from a technical music standpoint... If you want a good remix of this song, go for Iron and Wine's version. It slows the song way down, drops it a couple steps, and stirs imagery of peaceful, secure love that the original does not. This is not a knock on the original, which brings thoughts of an exciting, passionate, driving love.

Have you ever been in the middle of a million small things that you had to do or your balance for the next week would be gone and sat near your music machine wondering if it would fail you on your quest for findings things in other being lost and it didn't fail? Well, confusingly enough, this album is what exactly threw the fulcrum point into the right place. This Album gets a good review from the late night note taker of free write and their analysis s ss sss. Death Cab For Cutie is a good band to listen too if you haven't discovered them when soaking in this EP. Well those two don't have to be found while listening to it. The wonders of this Lead singer needs to be harnest somehow, but untill then, keep you ears open.
