  • Creative Genius

Andrae is a creative genius who was always before his time. And, he is still making great music today. This project forced all of us of this generation to consider the vast power of gospel music to reach outside of the "church" experience. Sad is the fact that Crystal Murden (female vocal on I'll Be Thinking of You) had one great solo project and has not really been heard of since. A bit of trivia, Andrae had a bird that could sing the tune I'll Be Thinking of You. Thanks for the re-release.

You must hear THIS album in order to even know where Fred Hammond Tonex Kirk Franklin and Ty are coming from. This man began singing not only about the spirit but also about oneness in Christ and real life issues. Andrae you will never be forgotten.

The compositions, arrangements and performances on this recording exemplify Crouch at the peak of his artistic potential. Contributions by Stevie Wonder, Phillip Bailey of Earth, Wind & Fire, Larry Carlton of FourPlay, Joe Sample of The Jazz Crusaders, harpist Dorothy Ashby, musician/arranger/producer Michael Omartian and David Hungate of Toto help to make this long-awaited digital re-issue from 1979 the zenith of Crouch's landmark recordings for Light Records.
