his actual albums are best to be explored for even this collection can't cover his genius. Bob Dylan's long career has many albums to cover yes but you're guareenteed the most exciting ride a solo performer can ever provide. So new Dylan fans get to searching for "the answer is blowing in the wind"
  • I don’t own a Bob Dylan album

I saw “Inside Llewyn Davis” and loved it. Became interested in the kind of music. In the movie they say “Folk Music” . Is this album good for absolute beginner? My previous musical interests range from Pop(Dance, R&B, Big Vocal….), 80’s house to Electronic Dance , Ethnic(Modern and traditional, like, Arabic and Latin and Gypsy), Slow Lounge Jams, Jazz(Old stuff to Modern remixes to Vocals) so on. It might sound like quite a jump from these to folk stuff, but it’s natural for me that a movie turns me on to new (to me) stuff. So I want to explore a new territory again. I want get a Bob Dylan and Dave Van Ronk for a taste. Would you recommend this album?
  • Great Introductory Album

This album introduced me to Bob Dylan's music for the first time in May of '08. I am proud to say that I am now a Dylan enthusiast! As a "hippie at heart" and a writer/poet, I loved the imagery and messages conveyed in his music. I have days where this album is on repeat non-stop while I am working, writing, or just relaxing. Bob has a magical quality to him that is undeniable. I look forward to purchasing more of his albums in the near future.

i would not worry about the few that gave this cd only two or three stars. its a shame they did, because if you like Bob Dylan music it does not matter how many times its been played on the radio. its the music that you should enjoy!!!!
  • Good music!

I guess if you have no Dylan in your collection, & are only into hearing the songs you can hear on the radio & everywhere else this might suit you. But, really, you're much better off picking up any or all of "Bringing it All Back Home," "Another Side of Bob Dylan," or "Highway 61 Revisited." All the "hits" are songs that were recorded in the context of albums that are at least as good as every track on this CD. Why not listen to them in their original setting?
  • worth of buying

hurricane, knockin' on heaven's door, all along the watchtower, lika a rolling stone, and the rest of songs on this album are simply the best of what Bob ever made and the album is definitely worth of buying (or go for extended 3-discs collection)
  • This guy is HOT!!!

I'll be the first to admit it. He is smokin'!!!! And he's got a good voice. What's not to love????Anyway, if you are into the folkish kind of music then you will like this song. If you like hot guys you will like this song. If you can stand any type of music you will like this song. Ah well. TTFN!!!

Bob Dylan has become a legend through the years as his classic music only gets better as time goes on. This great set of his best tracks shows why he is one of the best musicians of our age.
