  • The Best Christmas Album Ever!!!!!

This is by far the my favorite and in my opinion, the best Christmas album EVER!!!!! Russell sings "White Christmas" even better than Bing Crosby. The arrangement of "The First Noel" is absolutely beautiful, and the mchoir adds a nice touch. Perfect for Russell's voice. "S;leigh Ride is just palin cute, and so is "Winter Wonderland" The kids sound cute on that, too. The original songs, "The Eyes Of A Child" and "Love Is All"re my two favorites on the album. I think the arrangements of "The Little Drummer Boy", "Slient Night" and "O Come All Ye Faithful" are beautiful, too. "The Christmas Song" puts me in a sentimentally festive mood. This is a MUST for every Air Supply fan's Christmas collection.

I've had this CD since 1987 when it came out. Most of it is awesome. I love their versions of White Christmas, The Christmas Song, Sleigh Ride, Winter Wonderland and the 2 original songs Love Is All and The Eyes of A Child. Not much on Little Drummer Boy, Silent Night and O Come All Ye Faithful though. There are much better versions. Still the ones I mentioned are worth the CD. Their version of Sleigh Ride is my all time favorite I think.

I've been looking for this for years. Lost the cassette from a move. Christmas always felt more meaningful and powerful listening to this album. The album itself has songs on it you won't find anywhere else that are incredibly powerful such as "Eyes of a Child" and "Love is All" And of course christmas classics. This is a hard to find album. iTunes did a huge service putting this out for those that appreciate awesome Christmas Music by good and classic groups. A must buy!!

This is the best Christmas album! I absolutely love their sound and the keep the classic songs just as you are used to hearing them from your childhood without trying to make it "their version".
  • One of the BEST holiday albums of all time

An exceptional holiday album from this great pop duo. Both Russell Hitchcock and Graham Russell are in fine voice. The traditional holiday classics chosen for this album are done with flair and style and sound fresh and vibrant. But the real gems are the two new songs, The Eyes of a Child and Love is All, both of which rank among Air Supply's best all time recordings.

Air Supply took a break after releasing this album, Russell Hitchcock would release a solo album and score a minor hit with his cover of "What Becomes Of The Broken-Hearted." Usually the last lp before a split is sad or dark, but this lp is so joyful it must have been a feeling of relief that a hiatus is coming. Recorded at the end of the 80's and being an Air Supply album, keyboards and synths are traded for traditional arrangements with full orchestra. The production for this album was so large it had to be recorded at A&M studios. The song choice and arrangements are traditional and the lp features two originals, "The Eyes of A Child," which was culled as a single and a minor hit, and "Love Is All." Both originals were recorded and arranged in typical Air Supply fashion dripping with strings. All the cuts are studio, why "White Christmas" is indicated as "live" is beyond me, unless iTunes is trying to indicate that the song was recorded "live" in the studio, meaning the vocals and strings were recorded at the same time, which is true. Air Supply rarely did covers and hearing Russell Hitchcock work his tenor around holiday standards may feel a bit ackward at first and the two originals provide "relief" from a straight-forward Christmas album but after a few listens this lp is old fashioned, well produced, and timeless.

Air Supply does such wonderful versions of these Christmas carols. They were made for this kind of stuff. Air Supply fans, you have to buy this album!
