Always enjoyed his singing as well as Joy Williams. Its a shame they're no longer in a band together. When they sang together it was so beautiful, like angels singing. Now its like two heart broken people trying to heal.

If the Civil Wars are doomed I hope he puts out more solo efforts. He has an amazing talent and I'm in awe of his voice. I don't get to hear enough of it with the wars... It's so unique and WONDERFUL. I need more. This is a perfect soundtrack for fall. Ugh. MORE.

First of all, I just wanted to say that The Civil Wars are my all time favorite band. I knew that Joy had recorded a few Christian solo albums (which are also great) but had no idea that JP recorded one. I discovered this album at a record store and bought it without hesitation. This is definitely one of my all time favorite albums. Buy it.

I just heard JPW for the first time recently, first with The Civil Wars, his duo with Joy Williams. Both are so talented and expressive. This album is great start to finish, I have listened over and over since I bought it. What a beautiful voice and the songs are so well written.
