As usual, Bjoerk is producing crap & more crap. This does not even deserve a one star rating. Flush it, don't buy it.
  • Bjork & Modeselektor. Nothing dull about it.

I'm absouletly loving the Modeselektor mixes on this single as they are the highlights. As you may have guessed the "Girls" mix is pretty as the "Boys" mix sounds a bit more rough. The "Boys" mix is my favorite of the two but doesn't have as much of the vocals from the original. I can live with that. All and all, probably my favorite single off of this album.
  • The remixes are the butter here.

Considering it's not one of the best songs on the CD, and it's utterly undanceable or head-bobbing in its original incarnation, of COURSE Bjork releases it as a single. The remixes on here make it worth the effort. If you like the original you lose nothing by buying the single as a whole. If you didn't like the original track so much, the remixes may salvage it for you.

this was the bjork I remember growing up with, hopefully waiting to hear this electro tune at my local chill bar or crowded dance club.

These remixes are pretty fair. It's nice to hear electronic sounds with Bjork's beautiful voice. But these remixes really can't save the mess album that is called 'Volta'. I think Bjork already released the only single-worthy tracks, and is herself just confused as to what to do now. Volta really doesn't have that many "standout" tracks, and the sound itself has already become tired. One can only hope Bjork's next album if she plans to maintain the electronic sound, would be a delightful sequel to Homogenic.
  • Lovely mixes.

The two mixes of Dull Flame are fun and unique. The radio version is nice to hear when you want to taste the energy and emotion of the song but don't feel like an 8 minute experience. The Innocence remix definitely shines as a danceable and fun track that is like candy. The price can't be beat, though. It's a good deal. Missing is the video, whose concept fell through in my opinion... but it's the thought that counts!
  • Not up to par

The album version has some nice musical qualities, but I was not interested in hearing the male vocals from the duet. The remixes are reminiscent of the lackluster cookie-cutter remixes coming out in 1995. Bjork is one of my favorite artists ever, but this album didn't make the cut on the first listen. I'll have to wait and see if it grows on me.

The mixes are great, and Innocence is a pure gem of the release. Note to Apple Store: Let's get a Genius mix working with these tracks!
