Wow, I'd never thought that I would like the 80s music like this, I prefer nowadays Alternative Rock and Pop, even Country, but Survivor is my favorite band from the 80s from this album alone, I have 3 of the songs, songs 1,2,& 4, and I want more, so addicting, the 3 I have I know by heart, my favorite is I Can't Hold Back though, no question! Just a goose bumping fillin song, and the actual lyrics and music itself is stunning! Love it, and if you haven't, check out American Authors, they are an Alternative Rock band, really good, my favorite nowadays band, thxs for great music anyways!

It is well writen material and must be considered one of the best albums of the '80s. You only need 9 songs for a complete album. Some do 12 tunes that have no real melody. Jim is a top notch songwriter.

Vital Signs makes me nostalgic for an era I wasn't even alive for. It truly epitomizes the term "album oriented rock" in that there are no weak songs on here; each one of tracks 1-9 could have easily been chosen as a single, but I find it best to enjoy this timeless classic all the way through. "I See You In Everyone," is particularly moving; haven't we all felt that way about someone? And the vocals of Jimi Jamison...splendid. I can only hope more of my generation can somehow discover this gem and enjoy it as much as those who grew up listening to it did.

Anyone who grew up in the 80's, this best captures the sound and emotion of the time. Every track, as others have said, is awesome. Great album, no 'cheese' even after all this time.

I'd just got my first REAL car stereo...an Alpine system with Kenwood 4X 100W per channel speakers and a 100W 10-band EQ/Amp. And I wore it the hell out in 1984 with this album. 100% power 100% of the time....You never hear about them anymore, but Survivor had a tight grip on 1984.....fo'real brah.
