Live In Memphis

The Canton Spirituals had a concert at my church, Metropolitan Baptist, Washington, DC during the late 1990s. To a packed church, holding +1000. It was the most highly charged musical spiritual event for me. The sun beamed through the church window in a special way that day. I had never seen that happen before. I saw multiple beams. It felt as though I was in heaven. What a great experience to witness - watching and listening to the Canton Spirituals with the heavenly lights shining thru Metropolitan Baptist. H. Beecher Hicks Jr. was our pastor Metropolitan during that time. He’s a visionary.

My dad used to sing Heavenly Choir when I was little. I'm glad Jr. Was able to take Dad Watkins to the Grammys and Stellar awards before he passed in 1994.

Found myself listening to the Canton Spirituals tonight, takes me back to when I was a kid… thank God for memories. This is music that will bring you to tears while praising God.

Nobody does quartet like the Canton Spirituals!! This album is the blueprint of how it should be done!!! These brothers set the path for the next generation of gospel quartet groups like the Soul Seekers and Tim Rogers and the Fellas!! This is a MUST HAVE!!!! I'm Dj Ruk and I approve this message!!!!
