i originally have the Sub Pop press vynl single, but either way, the remixes is where the money pays. you can already get the album version of Move on the, well... album, and the intrumental dosen't really add much. the key remixes in this single are probably Metronomy and Frankmusic Club Bingo Dub. the Frankmusic Dub being a great favorite of mine, while the Cut Copy remix is more or less a throw away. great buy none the less :)

I like the remixes except for the cut copy one. Don't buy it unless you like every cut copy song.

who cares if someone doesn't have their "facts straight". they still like the music and there's no need for that on itunes, jeez. the song "move it" is fantastic, i didn't think i'd like their newer stuff, but it's actually really, really good! totaly worth the buy.

The above statement is not a complaint; as a matter of fact, it is the opposite. CSS are influenced by 80s' music, and that is very evident on their latest album. We now see this on their latest remixes, at least those available on these shores. The Cut Copy remix is okay, but it is definitely Cut Copy. I haven't heard Frankmusic, but his (hers, their?) remix wouldn't sound out of place pumping from a DJ booth in late 80s lower Manhattan. But the best is the Metronomy Remix. I am not familiar w/their work either, but when I first heard this, I thought that the original version of RevCo had reunited and was back in Trax Studios working on a new album. It is so good. These two mixes display the two major movements of dance music that came out in the 80s and early 90s. It is odd to say that something w/a retro feel could sound so fresh. Let's just hope Madonna stays away.

remixes of songs that primarily use a drum machine?! really? none of the crap on that album was worth remixing anyway.
  • How about CSS is not a her.

They're a full band. Get your facts straight before you review. Anyway, Cut Copy turn out a predictable remix, but everything else is surprisingly likable. The original track obviously shreds, and Mentronomy makes use of a repetitive-yet-catchy bassline and turns out a decent remix. The Frankmusic Club Bingo Dub adds its own spin on the track as well, this time with twinkly synths and jungle snares, and creates one of the best CSS remixes ever. I've always said that this is a hard band to remix, but the contributors here obviously did their homework and churned out good, if not AS good, results.
