I bought this back in 1981. Still have it in vinyl. Love every track. His voice and bass playing are just perfect on this. So very underrated!

I always loved this album because of it being so different than the ballad style albums that came later on what a great singer!!!!!

Great album...I have had the vinyl (and have not played it) for years, but wanted it on CD...instead, I used part of an iTunes gift card to purchase...so glad I did! Thank you iTunes for putting this Peter Cetera album on here. I forgot how good this album is!

Sure, it ain't Chicago...but that's OK! I could never get enough of Pete's outstanding voice. He was my favorite member of Chicago back then and I was very disappointed when he left. Notice that they found a vocalist that SOUNDS JUST LIKE HIM to replace him: Jason Scheff! Best tunes on this album IMHO: "Living in the Limelight", "How Many Times" and "Holy Moly". I enjoyed Mr. Cetera attempting to broaden his horizons and coming up with an album that was quite different than his usual stuff yet very listenable. Four Stars!

If you are a Peter Cetera fan, you must have this album. Only release on vinyl, I bought it back in the 80s and played it to death. Chicago covered "Living in the Limelight" in concert around 1984. Peter's brother Kenny is on the album and did some touring with Chicago. I'm too excited to see it on i-tunes since it never came out on CD that I could find.

for his talent. Never mind that he is a very funny guy with a fabulous personality. He is THE artist who has the most talent in my thousands of songs and I own a LOT of music from classical to trend. I can do anything while listening to Peter.....he is extremely gifted with voice and music talent.

Chicago was dying and Pete Cetera was trying something else and I will always love this first foray into trying something new. Loved it then and downloaded for my love of his voice and the comfort I will always have in listening to it

I've been a fan of Peter's since his Chicago days, but even if you're not a fan you'll still love this look into Peter's soul early in his career. The way some of the songs blend into each other is chilling. Much better than his later commercial stuff. A very talented musician and it shows on this first album. I've still got the LP just for old time's sake.

I looked for this album for years after hearing On The Line as a B-Side on Glory of Love. Nobody had it anywhere. After 6 years of searching, I found the LP by accident in a used record store. I about fainted! And it was only $6! I finally found the Japan CD release years later and have cherished it. So glad to see this on Itunes now and available for everyone. If you want to hear Peter rock, this is the album. It's dated, but who gives a rip? It rocks. It's Peter. It doesn't get any better. Hot tracks on this album are On the Line, Mona Mona, and I can feel It.
  • Quintessential Peter Cetera Album

Had Warner Brothers/Geffen actually PROMOTED this album it would have been a massive hit. However, as we know now they had plate full with the Bee Gees and other garbage. Don't get me wrong, I like the Bee Gees, but then again there certainly would not have been a Chicago 17 if this album had succeeded. I myself, like the other reviews found this by accident in a bargain bin at an Alco's Store in Rawlins Wyoming in the late 80's. I enjoyed it for a few years then gave my entire cassette tape collection to a very wonderful girl named Jennifer Saibini who I would love to see again someday(not for the cassettes, but her) and never saw it again until Wounded Bird Records released on CD. It is quite a treasure that I play over and over again with no regrets. If you like Chicago this is a must have.
