I purchased Richard Elliot's "Metro Blue" on iTunes and now it has been erased from my library and can't be downloaded off of iTunes! I think Apple owes me either an album or money!!

Listening to Richard Elliot and Rick Braun is like eating peanut butter and jelly. One complements the other to inspire a savory combination.

Having just listened to a couple of tracks on Richard Elliot's Album (Rock Steady), it is definitely one that I will be picking up. I simply love every single track on this album. Without question, Richard Elliot is fast becoming another Sax playing jazz musician I love listening too. Great album!

1st things 1st - What the bleep are you talikin' about Antsy 89!? Perhaps Kick A** Jazz Ain't Your Groove... Sorry - But You're missing out on one of Richard's Grooviest Albums Ever! & I like a lot of his Saxy Releases. I tend to get a bit frustrated with the Smooth Jazz Drum machine. Won't even bother with it if I hear a DM. What a pleasant surprise to hear great druming along with all the other fine Rock Steady Musicians. My favorite here would have to be a toss up between License to Chill & Rock Steady.... oh Move On Up is the hands down top ITunes pick... & it's a swell # - that's for sure... But LTC & RS have that gritty Soul Sax I've grown to love from RE! I used to see RE around the Seattle area quite a bit - Back "In The Name Of Love with MR. Caldwell (remember back in the way back Ol' School days - Kids???).... Chateau St Michelle Winery - July - Sun Blazing - 90+ temps & all the Wine you can handle (moderation was the secret to keeping that there date from blurring out... OMG). There's nothing like a Summer Jazz Weekend @ the Winery. ZOWIE!!! & Richard Nailed it! we've seen him a couple other times... & always love him. I'll rate this one right up there with Ol' John Klemmer's "Touch" (listen to Yaguala) & Gator Barbarie's "Caliente" (License to Chill for example...). Yes ineed - I'm liking this 2009 release. Thanks Richard. When you returning to Seattle?

Nice smooth tracks... #1,#3,#5, and #6( my favorite). This c.d. is great for travelling with your "honey" or having a romantic dinner with, pure soul smoothing sounds to relax too.

Another solid project from Richard. Not 1 bad track to be found on here. Dont sample any tracks. Just download the album. You'll be glad you did. 1 of the 09's best jazz albums.

I saw Richard perform some of this new material this past weekend at the Hyatt Regency Newport Beach Jazz Festival along with Rick Braun and Jonathan Butler. As usual, Richard Elliot was superb as is this new cd! Love the way smooth jazz musicians are paying homage to old school r&b legends from the 60's and 70's! This is Richard Elliot at his soulful best.
