Let me say I'm not a big fan of traditional bluegrass music. This album is anything but traditional, and the sheer joy that comes across in these performances can't help but make you smile and start tapping your toes. I hope Alison Brown comes back to this genre and gives us another interpretation of her bluegrass roots.

Alison's Fair Weather is a must for any fan of the bluegrass banjo. From soft and emotional, to hard-driving, to happy and uplifting, Alison's melodic banjo style covers it all. Not to metion the vocal numbers which are every bit as exciting as the instrumentals. Fair Weather is deinately a 5-star album to say the least.

If you like the acoustic sound and some clear banjo melodies, this album simply can't be beat. Nothing too complicated, this album is a must for any lovers of the 'new' bluegrass sound!
