This is an awesome version of the song. My only real complaint is that Apple needs to release "The Plan/Razor" soundtrack ASAP!

The credit as of 11/30/2009 is still incorrect - per Bear McCreary's blog it should read "Bear McCreary and the BSG Orchestra", not Matthew Gilna. Gilna directed and edited the concert video. As of 11/30/2009 it is still in mono, not stereo. Come on Apple! Apple also doesn't indicate that this is not a studio recording - it is from a concert performance. Not a big deal, but it matters to some folks. The song, however, is spectacular. Bear McCreary hits it out of the ballpark again. It is a subtle reworking of the BSG opening theme - wilder, almost savage.
  • NOT from "The Plan"!

This is the song used at the end of Battlestar Galactica: The Plan, but it is NOT the original version from the movie. It's from some live performance somewhere. Different arrangement, crowd cheering at the beginning, and not nearly as good as what's on the blu-ray. It's good for what it is, but it's not what I was looking for, which apparently doesn't exist.
  • Awesome, As Always

Bear McCreary is one of those composers where you know if he's on the job, the end result is going to be brilliant and worth listening to again and again. That's the best way to describe his work on BSG, and this live, in-concert performance of a cue from "The Plan" is no exception. Among his harder-edged stuff, this ranks right up there with Black Market and the cover of Watchtower. iTunes should credit this to McCreary and the BSG Orchestra, though, and not Matthew Gilna—whomever he is.
  • Get it right iTunes!!!!
