This isn't better than Baroness either. Slow down and think before you write a review. It's good, but not as good as Mastodon or Baroness. You should buy all of their stuff anyway...you're only young once.

Better than Mastodon? Um, definitely no. This is my first Black Tusk album, and although it is good, I would not compare it to Mastodon's unparalleled progressive prowess. Maybe 'call of the mastodon' album, but even that seems like a stretch. The major difference to me, would be as a guitarist I have to sit down to figure out some of Mastodon's guitar work, with this album the guitar riffs are pretty straight forward, which is not a bad thing. I just prefer the progressive stuff. Good album overall though!

This album is heavy and straight to the point. if you like sludge metal bands like mastodon, baroness, you will definetly love these guys

Awesome record. Pure sludge, great vocals, amazing guitars. If you like Baroness or Mastodon, meet the band thats better than both! This is easily the best of 40 or so records I've bought this year.
