To me GIAA is better than Explosions in the Sky. They have alot of variety in each track. All Is Violent, All Is Bright is great as well!
A Deafening Distance is just awesome... I love this band!
One of their best albums, if not the best thus far.

This album is just perfect. One of their best albums, hands down. "In the Distance Fading" has to be one of their best songs off of the new album, if not ever. I am so attached to it. I keep playing it over and over again. Never get sick of it. Most bands go downhill as time passes....not GIAA.
And he continues to reign...

God is an Astronaut has been my favorite band for a long time. I listen to them every day, religiously. After giving this a whole month of listening it has melded into my God collection and I couldn't be happier. Same style, same great music with some new amazing songs. I could not love music anymore than when I am listening to God is an Astronaut.

It's like this group found its perfect place in the history of time to emerge. It is an art to make technology have the beauty of organic instrumentals, but this does it beautifully, with one foot in the old school and one into the unknown future. This and All is Violent are my favorite releases. And I get more done when it's on.
