Flipsyde is an extremely rare, ground-breaking band. It seems that everyone is ripping off their sound; Akon, Pitbull, Flo Rida. They write brilliant lyrics and have excellent guitar playing. Steve and Piper write fun yet deep words, and not since Dylan has anyone had the guts to talk about what is going on in the world with honesty and sorrow the way they do. They write it, they say it, they think it, they feel it, they live it; they are genuine artists who create their music based on what they see in their lives.
Dave Lopez isn't a typical guitarist. He plays all styles with love and soul, not with ego. Their melodies are wonderful, and these great artists blend well with each other.
Their music is timeless; my parents and nephew love them. Even the mayor of my home town, Richmond, CA and her husband are big fans.
I highly recommend this EP and their 'We The People' album.

Hearing early cuts of this cd ,I knew it was gonna SMASH!!! even seeing them perform these and older songs live, its just as good as listening to the cd. this cd is like we the people, but we the people went to the gym, got in shape, then hit the books and got smarter, its like a we the people on a life high.From pipers spitfire flow to Steve's raspy melody's, then balls out guitar riffs from Dave over hip-hop beats, simply the best cd you could buy! Forget Drake, forget Fayne,forget Eminem, forget Nikki Minaj, buy this and fill your mind and sou with genuine musicianship.

If you loved We the People you will rejoice because The Phoenix has risen. This is a band that has everything you need to make great music. Piper and Steve are in top form at the mic and with the message filled lyrics. All the tracks heavily feature the virtuoso guitar playing of both Dave and Steve. Everything from smokin' rock solos to beautiful acoustic moments. I have loved this band since the set at Power to the Peaceful in 06 and have waited a long time for these tracks, and they do not disappoint. Thanks for staying strong and true.

They are back, and really back this time. This isn't We The People, but it sure isn't State of Survival (thank goodness). It's got a new powerful feel to it that makes you want to pump your fists like it's the only thing that you know how to do. I LOVE IT.

Let rise the Phoenix that is Flipsyde. Very impressed. I've been listening to Someday, Angel, No More, etc. waiting in anticipation for the group to re-group. Worth the wait.
