Mat zo is definitely one of the most brilliant producers of the edm scene at the moment. All the tracks in the ep are unique and incorporate several electronic genres together. 100% recommended.

This album is much different than any other album iv heard by Mat Zo and I sorta like it. I'm still partial to the feel of Lucky Strike, 24 Hours, and Default but a switch up is good every now and then. My favorite with out a doubt would have to be Its Yours, such a awesome track. I never dance , ever, and the other night I actually found myself dancing! This album rocks 5/5

i've heard enough tracks from this label to know it's not my cup of tea and steer clear. but i thought there was something odd with the title to this EP when i saw it amongst the new dance releases so i decided to take a listen. i'm glad that i did. it's so completely different than any thing to come out on this label and the title to this EP fits so well; because it is a mix polarization of anjunabeats typical sound platform and a bit of above/underground house elements. i love the collision of these two worlds. maybe the label has a lot to learn from this release. it's not that people don't like trance, or certain pop elements to mainstream formatted dance music; it's just that most want something to bridge the gaps and link in that underground house style. Mat Zo does just that. thank you Mat Zo. i've go my eye on you.

This can't be neatly placed into progressive trance. It can't be put into British House. It sure isn't cheesy trouse. It goes into the only category it can: Mat Zo. Never afraid to switch his styles up, Mat Zo continues to dive deeper into the house roots (his latest collaboration with Arty to produce Mozart) while maintaining his trance background (the classic 24 Hours), all while adding his own personal touch. It seems fit, then, that the Bipolar EP should be no different: 4 songs similar yet diverse from one another. Bipolar asks one simple question: can you dance? A brilliant switch between the 4/4 house with a trance breakdown, the title becomes as rhetorical as the booming question as the song progresses nicely between the genres. It's Yours reminds me fashion show/runway music with it's glamorous synths and upbeat melody; a tribute perhaps to earlier 90's dance works. If you like it, just put a Ring On It. Distorting, stretching, and everything in between, Mat Zo takes Beyonce's hit "Single Ladies" and transforms it into a stunning masterpiece of poise and rhythm. Yoyo Ma (undoubtedly a tribute to the famous cellist) is probably the most unique from the others, combining melodic tech and big room techno with the hint of a classical underlining. If you're looking for the trance genius that brought us Fractal Universe and Rush 2009, you'll have to keep listening to Mat Zo's older works. His latest works of Rebound, Frequency Flyer, and Superman should indicate the direction that he sees himself moving for now. I'm glad Anjunabeats is still supporting him: he is an excellent producer who isn't afraid of trying new styles and pushing the EDM scene a bit further. Is it uplifting trance? No. Is Mat Zo / Anjunabeats going away from their trance roots? Perhaps. But is it good? It's Mat Zo; of course. So much, I'd put a Ring on It.
  • Mat Zo is pure amazingness...

I absolutely LOVE this entire EP but my personal favorite is It's Yours. It has a nice, silky, house-like groove with words, and it balances out with a really nice melodic break in the middle followed by a build upon the sexy groove at the beginning. It is very beautiful and aggressively groovy at the same time. The rest are good too though. Bipolar is funky and aggressive, but in the middle it's got a really beautiful trance out section. Ring On It is very poppy and happy, with a very pumping groove that makes you jump underlying a simple melody that will make you close your eyes and smile. It makes me feel like I'm playing a racing game and winning, but the speeds are so fast that if I crash I'll lose at least 6 slots. Just my two cents. Yoyo Ma is a melodically driven tune paying tribute to the amazing cellist Yoyo Ma. It is very beautiful and full of colors that splash around to make a very nice picture in your mind. Or if you don't like to think of it as that it is a nice collaboration of beautiful sounds.
