Saw them with Bebo Norman a while ago and loved them. Finally backtracked and bought this recording today. Great stuff. I hope to see them again sometime soon.

These two obviously have great writing talents. Their lyrics are fresh, and creative, and ACTUALLY HAVE A POINT!! :) However, their vocals are a little dry. Jenny sounds like she's really reaching on several of the songs. Other than that, I really enjoy this duo.

This is one of the best albums they have made so far. I've been a fan for about 2 years I think. My favorite song on this album is Abide, I first heard it during a house show and it was incredible. They are a wonderful amazing, awesome, nice, folk music duo. I personally recommend going to a house show. They are very friendly and they love to meet their fans. Oh unlike some music artists, if you email them, they will personally respond to your email.

Jenny & Tyler bring a new feel to their original style with honest music. Their passion in singing and playing is evident and the lyrics are poignant and even show vulnerability. The translation of Psalm into song is beautiful and remains true to the original passage. By far, these two provide the deepest songs musically and lyrically I have ever come across. Jenny & Tyler have been my favorite band since I discovered them, and this album doesn't change that. There are only two reasons I didn't give this album 5 stars. The first is that, although their style is still there and is more developed in many ways, I can't help but hear Gungor all over many of the songs. The sound of a rolling glass bottle in "Lament" and "O That the Light" is very reminiscent of them. "Lament" in general could be published on a Gungor album and I wouldn't even think of Jenny & Tyler. Don't get me wrong, I love Gungor. But I love Jenny & Tyler more. Whether they were listening to them a lot or this is indeed their original development, I hope they don't lose their style. The second reason, I hate to say, is Tyler's voice. It sounds more forced than normal in comparison to past music, which is a pity, because his natural voice is amazing and pure. Next to Jenny's natural, sweet voice, it can sound a little tense. Let's end on a good note. Despite the two reasons for only 4/5 starts above, I love the overall sound of the album and I still love Tyler's voice. The songs Jenny wrote are especially heartfelt and personal. The Scriptural truths are a relief in this current trend of meaningless Christian lyrics and repetition. Each song is full to the brim of meaning and powerful words, just as they always have been from Jenny & Tyler. I am always encouraged after listening to this album and because many of the lyrics are Scripture-based, when I find myself singing them, I find myself remembering the Biblical reference. In other words, it keeps my mind on the Word all day. These songs make me feel reflective, remorseful, joyful, passionate, and thoughtful. Truly, Jenny & Tyler are a blessing and breath of fresh air to the Christian music industry.

This whole album has great instrumentals, solid voices, and beautiful harmonies, but more importantly it is genuine, uplifting, and based in the Word of God. If you want a positive alternative or are intrigued by the idea of a relationship with Jesus, this is a perfect album to enrich your life.
  • Continuing their musical journey

Wow. I've been listening to Jenny & Tyler since "a prelude" (their first album), and it's been an awesome journey getting to hear them grow musically and lyrically(?) (and sound production-wise!) over the years. Each album has been better than the last, as a whole, and this newest album is no exception. It's a down-to-earth, folksy style that reminds you of autumn and relaxing on the back porch. Great lyrics, catchy melodies, beautiful harmonies, and refreshingly soul-cleansing. Buy it.

Wow I think I'm falling in love with Jenny & Tyler's music! It's great "chill" music to listen to, beautiful harmonies & deep lyrics that move my soul. I played a couple songs for my husband & his response was "Wow, great find babe!"...and he's a much harder sell than I am! The song See the Conqueror-LOVE it! I'm glad I found these guys! Their songs just keep getting better & better. I think I have them all now AND I'm on their email list! I love getting the candid email updates. :) Keep up the good work Jenny & Tyler!

Soo...get it quick!!!! Today is the last day to get it for $3.99 and that's such SUCH a steal!!!!! These two love the Lord with all their heart and put Him first in their marriage and this shows through their music stunningly. i Pray for a marriage like that someday. They are SO Amazingly talented and deserve every bit of support. The song "O That the Light" speaks so strongly to me; it's incredible that it was written. Thank you J&T!!!!

This album took me by surprise. It is deep, and has ministered to me one song at a time. I mean that literally. I did not move on to another song when the Holy Spirit was hovering on one for me --- I would download the chords from Jenny and Tyler's website and learn the song until I could worship with it. And the Lord did meet me. Then when I felt released to hear another one, I went through a similar process. Now I put my iPod on shuffle, and I know all the songs and have had a personal experience with Jesus with most of them --- they are intimate to me. Really like and appreciate this album and Jenny and Tyler.
