I ran across this album by accident, having never heard of F. Robinson. Man, what a surprise: a sweet, smooth voice with sharp, crisp picking style. And with a few well arranged horns. The entire album is worth a spin.

This is quintessential blues, and it really is an under-rated album. In fact, Fenton is almost as under-rated as Rory Gallagher was. (Check Rory out, too - he's on iTunes.) Of course, "Texas Flood," the song Stevie Ray co-opted into the title track of one of HIS most famous albums, is on Fenton's album here. "Somebody Loan Me A Dime" is a medium-slow, straight-out blues standard.... I could go on, but each track is just great. The iTunes 30 second cut for each of these tracks does not do each song true justice. For $10 bucks, do yourself a favor and buy this.
