Took me on a ride from start to end, hallmarker of any true album. Spans all kinda of vibes with humor, wit, dreamy pop beats, watery guitar strumming. Love it.

Daniel is a song that makes you feel the pain of loss and it is a great song and my favorite. This album takes you through a journey of broken relationships, lost loves, and falling out of love. This album is a great album also great to hear live.

I'm not a great music connoisseur, in fact, this is my first album review - ever. All I can say is this a great, mild tempo album that just makes me feel good and relaxed.

This album is just cool all over. So hip, and so groovy, with a little German thrown in for good measure. It is sublime from beginning to end. Had some friends over for dinner last weekend and put this on in the background – it sets a perfect mood. For those hoping for a whole album of Seahorse-like acid rock jam perfection, this is not it. Mala is pretty laid-back, uncomplicated and mellow, but like I said, it's also super-cool. So simple, but sublime in its own way. This isn't a world-changing, revolutionary musical masterpiece (which I still think Devendra is capable of doing and probably will one day), but it's not supposed to be. Enjoy the trenchant simplicity (intentional oxymoron) that delights the ears. I sense that this album will be a pleaser for many years – maybe decades – to come.

There's no way to classify this album. If you love music, this needs to be part of your collection. Hypnotic harmonies, lovingly crafted for Hi-Fi ecstasy. Evokes memories of a time before, never heard. Listen with headphones.
