I first heard of Lucius when they played and NPR "Tiny Desk" concert, and I was FLOORED by their sound. Even with the ultra-stripped down configuration they could fit into the space around Bob Boylan's desk, their songs showed a deep appreciation for past musical styles, while maintaining a fresh and thoroughly enchanting new vibrancy. Finally getting to hear the fully produced tracks on this EP gave me a heaping helping of all the magic I originally heard in those few live songs. Lucius is surprising, refreshing, and a true original. Great stuff!

This band hooked me at Mountain Stage in West Virginia. I went to see Sonny Landreth, one of my favorites, and heard this incredible band too. They are fantastic live and this EP will get you hooked too.

This is a perfect EP. In 4 songs you get a sense of what kind of a powerhouse Lucius is. If you haven't already - check out their Tiny Desk session at NPR. Ridiculous talent. It hurts me in the best way.

When I saw Lucius at solid sound fest, I was blown away. The two women were perfectly in sync and had amazing voices, the band great. Their sound is amazing. sometimes Haunting, but always light, fresh, and dramatic. Something that struck me about them is that they already have the feel and look of a big time rock/pop band. The girls had matching haircuts and attire, including shades (sunglasses) and the whole band wore just black and turquoise. They brought life to the stage easily, and their acoustic performance, though not as fun, was awesome. Buy this EP and their future album (coming out Fall, 2013!) and support great people who will be the next big thing in the pop/rock/alternative scene. THANK U LUCIUS!!

I cannot say enough good things about Lucius. I really liked them when I first listened to their EP, and fell in love completely when I saw them perform live. Jess and Holly have such a fun, dynamic stage presence, and Andy, Peter, and Dan are incredibly talented multi-instrumentalists. Oh, and the vocals. Chilling, powerful, beautiful voices that leave me and whomever I introduce them to awestruck. I am SO looking forward to their full-length album. They are also such down-to-earth, lovely people who really appreciate their fans. They definitely made me and my husband fans for life!
