As I listen to the strike of every key, every chord and each heavenly nuance, I begin to realize that this is far beyond a collection of songs of inspiration but rather a sacred conversation between Mr. Stanley and God. This musically and spiritually gifted genius allows us to bear witness as he fallibly and humbly surrenders his heart and soul and acknowledges the grace he has received by giving the utmost praise. In "BECAUSE HE LOVES", Marcus Stanley beautifully communicates God's message of never ending love and reminds us that He came to love, heal and forgive mankind. But what I find most touching, as I listened to part two of "I SURRENDER ALL", at 4:45, is a very intimate exchange where I can actually hear God's response and feel His touch. This masterpiece is a gift. It is a divine celebration of joy, honor, triumph, thanksgiving and in it's entirety, no higher praise to God can be given. This is a very spiritually connective and introspect provoking album -even for the non believer. As difficult as it was for this writer to remain objective, I succumbed to Marcus Stanley's glorious rendition of "AMAZING GRACE" where I suddenly found myself at the gates of Heaven and I declare that if this album is any indication of what we can all expect, upon returning home to our Father, then Lord, I am ready.
