Pat Benatar started off like a wild fire and fanned the flames with each record afterwards ; but with " True Love " Pat & Neil wanted to do a blues based record to change things up . Turned out that Pat Benatars vocals are quite suitable ( she can sing practically any style ) for this record ; left this listener wanting more with " The cost to be the Boss " / " True Blue " / " So Long " .

Pat rocks to be sure, but she's also one of the finer blues singers of this generation. I remember buying this cd and falling in love with it instantly. It holds up all these years later. It's a shame the public didn't buy this one and sadly, she's done no other forays into this musical genre. At least we have this gem among her work, Superb collection from start to finish. Granted I love her rock and roll too, but this one outshines all of her other work. Thanks for it!!
