Vintage. Sophisticated.

Hamilton Leithauser resurrects the Walkmen’s style and in the process resurrects a really vintage sound—this record feels jazzy, indie, and just old-timey. It’s fantastic and really exuberant.

I love this album! The vocals are amazing and the music is unique. I can’t stop listening to the hard-to-forget melodies and the fantastically-written lyrics. Hamilton Leithauser has given us one of the year’s best (if not the best) albums. There are so many great songs on this album, it’s difficult to choose a favorite. The Silent Orchestra, Alexandra, I Don’t Need Anyone, and I’ll Never Love Again (Bonus Track) are highlights, however, there really aren’t any low points to this wonderful collection of songs. I will be playing this album all summer and beyond.

It's always a bit of a bummer when a good band steps away from making music, but when we have this to look forward to...it all goes away for a bit. Really enjoy the majority of this album...I don't need anyone is a favorite

Great Album & Pleasantly surprised. If you were a fan of The Walkmen (which I am) you know every album was very unique so “expecting” something would be your first mistake. This is a great album which you can tell he put a lot into and I look forward to seeing what he does next.

I saw the album details on FB so I came right to iTunes to download. After just one listen I knew this solo adventure for an exwalkmen member was going to bring me back to the Walkmen sound. It's got a ton of the Walkmen sound with all the Hamilton influence. If you love the Walkmen you will love this!
Alexandra? Alexandra.

After listening to this single Alexandra, I really didn't know how to react. To be honest I was expecting more Walkmen sound. I didn't know at first how to take Leithauser's awesome signature croon over the upbeat indie rock, so I had to remind myself this isn't another Walkmen album, its a Leithauser album. After realizing that the single became fun, new, and exciting, and I can't wait to hear more of that from this new album! Bring on the Leithauser!
