As a BYU alum, I always had a great time listening to Vocal Point while I was in school. This album reminded me of why I loved it so much.

"Set Fire to the Rain" is my favorite track on this album although the original version by Adele is horrible.
  • To Eric Ficcarro, Outstanding!

Not sure if I did, but sorry if I butchered the last name. Mr. Ficcarro is my student teacher in a band class and he is a member of this group. I must say when he said he was in a vocal group I never expected it to sound like this. This is awesome and I can't believe how amazed I am. Lol. It sounds great. Keep up the great work!!!

Over the years I have come to expect two things from Vocal Point: killer voices and stellar arrangements. This album is a prime example of those two very things. I dig the song selections. As the title suggests, it showcases perfectly the range and versatility of these guys. Though nothing beats seeing them live, being able to have these songs on repeat is a close second. "Spectrum" is fantastic. Great job guys.

Okay folks, allow me to settle this. As a former member of the group (I sing the lead on track 11) I can confirm there were literally no instruments used in the production of this album. Sound production occured - as it does on any album, a cappella or no - in order to help the (vocal) bass and (vocal) drums sound heavier and crisper and whatnot, but I promise you, Barak Choy, every track is nothing but voices. I'm glad you like it :)
  • A Cappella, but I hear instruments

Good catchy music. I especially like the Allegheny song. But even though everyone is saying that this is 100% vocal I’m pretty sure that there are some bass/drum/guitar tracks. I’ve been singing with choirs for a long time and would know a cappella if I heard it. Sneaky little Vocal Point.

I've been a Vocal Point fan for over 10 years and they just keep getting better & better. I am loving these arrangements, the music videos, and the vlogs. With the title of "Spectrum" you would expect VP to cover a wide array of music and they do that extremely well. It's not often you buy an album that has a "Newsies Medley" with "Beat it" and my favorite (and wicked awesome arrangement) hymn, "I Stand All Amazed" I am in awe at these talented guys, their support systems, their mentors, teachers, directors, and all the VP guys that provided such an amazing legacy for them to carry forth.
