Warhol’s an unlikely icon, one whose work is often belaboured vociferously because he was both superficial and insightful while no one was sure if he had a clue what his art reflected. Except maybe these guys.
To put this pair together in itself is an odd juxtaposition in a sense because they were never able to get long and despite all that they do have in common, they’re very different musicians Anna well as starl]lily contrasted by temperaments. Throw that third wheel in the mix and you have a confounded beautiful album that is demonstrative of the talents involved.
You’d be best off understanding the music is experimental and sophisticated going in. The rhythm and lyrics reflect the energy and ideas of Drella as Warhol was called with an alarming mix of affection and fear. He was a vampire and a fairy princess. The album is a mutation of similar bents. It’s good but you need to appreciate it in entire contexts.
