As far as I know this movie and soundtrack are the fruit of an Australian production company. It takes place in France. The American media marketplace can be very challenging to anything foreign and jazz has its own problems in the US market. Case in point: at the time of this posting, July 2008, the film is unavailable through iTunes, tsk, tsk. ( i own it already ) Bottom line: This is Miles Davis! Find the movie and get this soundtrack. It's great and collectible. Miles is gone from us except in spirit and through his legacy productions. The movie won the Australian Film Institute award in 1991. Obscure is a disparaging criticism. It is not unusual for foreign films and media productions to appeal to a small segment of the US population that has a rapacious appetite for the world. As some of us know, Miles stood on top of it.

I loved this CD, I had it a while back on tape. It is filled with Miles playing and some voice quotes. You gotta add it to your collection.
