We grew up together at Hudsonview Terrace. I left for the Army in 1979. I remember listing to Lisa Lisa when we went to the European dance halls - her music was a staple in most of them. I never knew Lisa Lisa was Lisa Velez. Her music is getting more air time in the Dallas/Fort Worth area in recent months. For those of us who grew up during that period, Lisa Lisa's music brings back good (and bad) memories. For kids who listen to radio, it might seem like strange music. Try to imagine hundreds of people yelling and screaming when her music is played. That was the 80's. I'd like to see her reinvent herself. She still has a fantastic voice.

They ought to make you post your age when you review anything on iTunes. THIS WAS A HOT SONG! I used to spin records for a living in the 80s and 90s and I played the grooves off of this record. Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam along with the rest of the Full Force Family were smokin hot back then.
