Legacy released a newly remastered version of this on 6/10/16, the same day they released "Volumes 2, 3, and 4." Is this Legacy's upgraded version or the same one as before?
  • My Very Favorite Album

Okay, I’m a music guy. I own tens of thousands of CDs and thousands of records. I’ve been to almost a thousand concerts in the past 25 years. Of all the albums I’ve ever heard, this one is my very favorite. It captures a musical genius in the summer of ’73, when he was absolutely at the top of his game. His band, the Caledonia Soul Orchestra, was one of the finest bands ever assembled (complete with strings!). On “It’s Too Late To Stop Now,” we hear re-workings of some of his best songs, plus quite a few soul/blues covers of songs from other artists. He even takes a mediocre song like “Here Comes the Night” and revives it with a fresh perspective that makes it pop. If you only buy one album in your life, let it be this one.

I've been listening all my adult life to Van Morrison. Had this album on cassett when it was new., wore it out many years ago. This album is one of the Best Live Albums you can own, should you be a Van Morrison fan.

This recording - along with so many others - was once here, and then sadly pulled down. But the new deal for Van's catalog brings this amazing album back to iTunes. And now more people can discover what an amazing live album this is - along with so many of his other albums that had been sadly missing from streaming/download services. This is an A-plus, must-have album from Van M.
